Nogami shifty station 4gamer11/8/2023 I think maybe we could expand the list of layouts, though, make it something like the Stage page where it has a table that gives a brief description of each layout, and maybe which Splatfests they appeared in? Shin圜elesteela ( talk) 15:08, 22 June 2019 (UTC) Reply First of all, a massive thank you for making all those pages! That's really gonna help in the future and has certainly made my life easier! I'm with you, I presume the vast majority of the information on the page can be deleted now that it's been relocated to their respective pages. Now I'm curious, how should we restructure this page? We can probably eliminate all the different sections for the layouts, since pretty much all the necessary information is on the new pages, and heck, we could probably eliminate the official naming section as well, since the "Etymology" section covers all of that. It was just a suggestion >.> 〜 Splattersky・ talk RestructuringĪlright, I have finished creating the pages for the twenty-four different layouts. If someone is truly confused about the title they are looking at, perhaps they should read the article to obtain the knowledge they crave! Heddy ( talk) 23:42, 21 June 2019 (UTC) Reply Alright, you make a point. This suggestion would make sense to me if the stages had that prefix in-game. ![]() they'd be following a link that would have given them context about where they're going. People don't just randomly end up on a page they don't recognize (unless they click the random button). Shin圜elesteela ( talk) 23:24, 21 June 2019 (UTC) Reply To me this sounds equivalent to naming an Octo Canyon stage article "Octo Canyon: Stage Name" it's just inconsistent with the rest of the wiki, and seems to tarnish the purity of every part of a page having its purpose. ![]() Order Splatfest, since they'll be in rotation two at a time. Heck, they might even be used during the Chaos vs. Maybe the main Shifty Station page would also give brief descriptions of all of them, so as not to confuse readers! That being said, I feel the names will be used in-game, to make it easier to select them in Private Battles. 〜 Splattersky・ talk We'll still keep the main Shifty Station page, which will likely link to pages on all the variations. I understand it's the first sentence's job to explain things, but I still think this would be helpful. I'm suggesting that we put "Shifty Station:" before the names so people understand it's a version of shifty station. "Wayslide Cool"), people who don't follow SplatoonUS tumblr would likely not recognise it and get confused, especially since the names were released so recently. Heddy ( talk) 23:11, 21 June 2019 (UTC) Reply Like I said, if it's just the name (e.g. It's not the title's job to give the reader context. Heddy ( talk) 23:10, 21 June 2019 (UTC) Reply In addition I would like to say that it's the first sentence's job to give the reader context. 〜 Splattersky・ talk Sounds like a great idea! - S u n d a e Squid Talk 23:06, 21 June 2019 (UTC) Reply How exactly would people be confused by the in-game name for these stages matching the on-wiki name? Explain. Since we're doing seperate pages for each Shifty Station now, should we do something like "Shifty Station: (name)" so people don't get confused? Otherwise, a lot of people might not recognise it. Shin圜elesteela ( talk) 19:38, 21 June 2019 (UTC) Reply Zone of Glass name mostly joking, but this is pretty much a crossover of my two biggest special interests and I am freaking out right now. I could put in the translated names just while we get the official names Marinasairpods ( talk) 02:15, 20 June 2019 (UTC) Reply A page split sounds good to me! 〜 Splattersky・ talk I think that would be great!~ S u n d a e Squid Talk 08:04, 20 June 2019 (UTC) Reply The English localizations are starting to trickle out : Kratosauron0 ( talk) 19:25, 21 June 2019 (UTC) Reply I can agree to the page split, on the grounds that I get to make the page for Wayslide Cool. ![]() Heddy ( talk) 02:11, 20 June 2019 (UTC) Reply You know what? This is actually a good idea. Considering that they really are different stages, just sharing an aesthetic. When we get the English-localized names (in a game update or from an English social media account), I think a page split would be appropriate. The SplatoonJP Twitter account provided names for the Shifty Station layouts.
